10TH DECEMBER // TUESDAY
{DAY 3}
KUSADASI - PAMUKKALE
Started the day with the usual breakfast at 7am and departed to this place where they sold really high quality leather jackets. So high, that they gave a little fashion runway show for us.
In the end we did buy ourselves a leather jacket each. I didn't even plan on getting one. I was just trying them on to see how they looked on me. Oh, also the promoters were quite the sellers. Each family had one promoter, I am not even kidding.
This is probably the closest I could get to a London fashion week.
1. House of Virgin Mary
Visited the placed where Virgin Mary was believed to have spent her last years.
I noticed a lot of 'believed' in histories.
Being me, of course I forgot to take a picture of the house. But never mind, cause we were walking and there was this wall of cloths with messages on them. It kinda reminded me of the place in Korea where they have the lock messages. Similar concept here. I wanted to hang a message, but I was ignored....plus we didn't have anything to hang, so yeah.....
but it's pretty cool huh?
2. Ephesus Ancient City
This is one of the world's most outstanding archaeological sites. (states the itinerary)
Which I could definitely agree. But the walk was soooo long. & not to mention the weather that day, it was probably 8 degrees or something and it started to drizzle.
cold + wet + tourists with cameras = not such a good combo for us.
so how? can pass in hijab not? lol actually it was so cold, I wanted to cover my whole face.
But at this point of time, I've yet experience the crazy cold in the coming days ahead with snow.
cos my mum forced me to wear my poncho.....ah sigh. I'm like a little penguin.
This is like the popular national library in those times.
Here's a photo of me and my entire tour group! I'm the one holding the flag..incase you can't find me.
which I doubt so (with the poncho and all)....hahahaha
cause my mum urgently needed the toilet & I got a little lazy listening to the histories, we skipped through everything else and went on to the exit where the toilets were.
Can I just take a moment to mention about the overpopulation of cats there. Like literally every step I take, I see a cat. & their stray cats are really pretty and they all look very round faced.
3. Cotton Castle (Pamukkale)
This place is really coollll. It's like mini hot spring but on a mountain. The entire area is covered in white, due to the deposits of white limestone.
The water probably was hot, but cause it was kinda cold, it felt warm.
all them smokeee~
The stream behind was where we actually dipped our feets. It was pretty niceee!
& the thought was also a little scary cause behind us was all the way down the mountain.
So we were being really careful.
SESSI POSE FOR ALL YOU AUNTIESS! MUAHH xoxoxo
This is how I imagined mars or the moon to be like.
After all the touring, we drove to our next hotel!
Lycrus River Hotel (5 stars, Pamukkale)
For a 5 stars hotel, it was a rather small room..
but I'm fine, as long as there's heater!
goodnight!
