A Walk In The Park!

4TH AUGUST // SUNDAY
PUNGGOL WATERWAY

Apparently I have a thing for updating my blog on Sundays. Probably cause this week had been rather boring for me. Let's see, Monday driving. Wednesday work & an impromptu meetup with friends. Thursday to Saturday, home. Only on Friday after breaking my fast, I went to the airport with the parents to fix my glasses. The degrees weren't right for me. Yup, a couple of days in my life.

So I decided to go out today to take a walk at the Punggol Waterway & at the same time snap some pictures cause I wanted some content on my blog. Lol, thus this.

Cause it was so sunny and hot outside, I decided to don myself in fully covered outfit. Well except for my exposed neck/chest area. (which I now got a sun tan) Sigh, I was even carrying an umbrella & wore sun screen! That's it, I need an spf of a 100 for my suntan prone skin.

when you enter, you'll be greeted with a bridge

 It's called the Kelong Bridge

I went to the right one. Previously I went on a run with the cousins to the left which to my opinion is a lot better. More stuff to see. Maybe I'll come again & I'll visit that place and snap some pictures. But next time, maybe with a bicycle. Walking is so much hard work.
The wave bridge is really nothing much. It's just a meh
see what I see??
I love seeing horizons like such with no buildings at the back!
So I walked and walked and walked....

I could almost see the bridge!
I obviously love clouds
Because I felt a little adventurous, I decided to climb up one of those 'horizons' area I was talking about. When I reached to the top, I was kinda blown away. It looks so much prettier in person, there were tiny flowers there.
& I instantly thought of the meadow that edward & bella loved to go to, laying down on the grass (having a twilight moment)

It's probably no big deal. But it's rare to find vast spaces of grass and trees with no buildings behind in Singapore. It would most certainly make perfect photographs.
The view from the meadow/horizon!

no idea what bridge this is
The trail was mainly gravel. I u-turned after I walked like a quarter way. I was quite unsure of the path ahead. & since there weren't much people around, I decided to be safe and get back to the civil world. There wasn't any map or anything for me to refer to.
pretty!
I like the sound of crunching footsteps. Be it gravel or leaves.

I imagine cows there

I then got super tired, so I decided to have my first pit-stop! with no water or food. how sad.
not that I could have any in the first place
You could already see the sun burn/tan forming. The damage is done. I now have a strange circle tan around my chest.
the shelter I was sitting at. People were staring at me as they passed by. Probably wondering why is there a girl here in the middle of nowhere
This bridge you see, it's the Sunrise Bridge. It connects to the Punggol Promenade on the other side.
I was gonna turn back and u-turn after I crossed the bridge to take a bus home but then I saw the all too familiar Punggol Promenade bridge. From there it's closer to my home.

& you can see the bridge here! Across the bridge is the Lorong Halus Wetland!

doesn't it remind you much of the san fran bridge? not that I've been there before
In the end I got too tired walking, I walked a little more to the lrt station cause I couldn't walk no more.
I walked for like 5km in like almost 2 hours. Cause I was walking pretty slow. Plopped myself onto the sofa the moment I got home & slept for 3 hours. (I only had 2 hours of sleep the previous night. I couldn't sleep after sahur cause I drank coffee, oh me. )

Okay that's all for today!

Good Night Friendliest Friends!!
(You're cool, if you know where I got that from)
