27TH AUGUST // TUESDAY
ETUDE HOUSE PINK PLAY PARTY
I can't remember if I mentioned this already, but my cousin won a contest over at instagram and got a pair of tickets to this party. I actually had no idea what this party was about. But apparently it was quite a big thing since the kpop stars came namely Shinee & a girl from f(x).
so odd to have a party on a Tuesday, but whatever. It doesn't affect me anyway.
so my mum volunteered to take photos of me. lol
Mad love for my nails that day. I still have them on to see how long they last. You wouldn't believe how much effort I put into these nails. & yes, I know I have short & stubby fingers. Deal with it.
The doors opened at 5pm & we only just met at Hougang at that time. So we were pretty late. You'd think that we wouldn't have to be in line or anything. But apparently there still was a queue there. Luckily it wasn't such a long wait since the queue kept moving and plus we were the last badges of people entering.
Surprise! Another queue inside for registration & to collect our goodie bags!
Got my Beauty Passport & a minho badge and off to do my traveling!
& we're in! There were a couple of activities we could do. We had to complete some tasks and then we'd get a stamp. I'd say we were more for the activites and free stuff.
We got some pink popcorn which tasted pretty good! Actually it tasted like normal popcorn, but usually the ones you get in the cinema, some parts of the popcorn wouldn't be flavoured or sweet. This one, was sweet at every ball of popcorn. If that makes sense.
We were quite overwhelmed by the things to do over there. Though in the end, we did actually got to do everything on the list despite being late.
For this booth we got the Etude House Collagen water. I drank it today. It tasted kinda like Pink Dolphin.
There was a booth that we could try out some of their BB Creams. It was interesting how the BB Creams has a pump. Funny how the Revlon Colorstay Foundation still doesn't have a pump. still waiting....
I might actually purchase some of the items since I got a voucher for their items!
This booth we had to draw eyeliners. I was actually excited to do this one. But I guess cause by then it probably took everyone too long. So in the end, there was no activity there. We were just given our stamps and some free items from it.
Behind me was the Dream girl contest booth
We kinda pretended that we were like in Vidcon or something. but wow, everyone was quite kanchiong.
Then this is the Pink Ball Toss Booth. I'm just gonna put it out there, I suck at this. I can't even throw a ball right..
Picture with a Shinee member! I'm not sure what's his name though. I know there's a Minho, Onew & Taemin. He must be the other one.
Then into the concert area we go!
Left is Kevin, a makeup artist. Then there's Sulli from f(x). & then there's Ros as the MC.
There was a makeup session where Kevin demonstrated a really simple makeup.
Then Shinee finally came out!
LOL at the face.
Got our glowsticks! Took us awhile to figure out how to light up our glowsticks. We actually asked someone how to light it up in the midst of the performance. I knew we had to break it!
For the most part, I watched mainly on the huge screen cause everything was blocking me. I just think maybe, banners or signage should be banned in concerts. Sometimes, you could actually have the perfect view. But then suddenly there'll be this giant rectangle shadow blocking half, if not all the people on stage.
mandatory shots with the backdrop poster!
Time to say goodbye!
& look who I bumped into that day! I bumped into my Poly classmate, Iklil! It was quite a surprise to see a familiar face there.
Along the way out, we decided to take pictures with some 'outstanding' strangers. This one had a nice banner. They're actually from Malaysia. (Another one standing behind the camera) That is what I call dedication.
Last Photo before we headed out of the event!
Our theories & expectations of the event:
We expected there to be like a pink carpet or something and someone would take a photo of us when we entered with the etude house sponsors or something as a backdrop. sigh, we were thinking too much.
& we also thought that it was like those prestigious 'high glamour-ish' sort of event. Lol, such bimbos we are.
So when we saw how everyone else was dressed a little more casually in chucks and some not even in pink, we were like 'oh.....'
& I could immediately spot on all the faces of the kpop fangirls.
Nevertheless, it was a fun experience! I did actually recorded some footage from this event. Not sure if I'm gonna post it up or not.
I think I should get more involved in such events. Maybe become a crew or something to these events.
Till next time!
Goodnight.
